In all honesty, Bonaire is a stellar travel destination any day of the year, but while there are many obvious benefits to visiting the island during its peak travel season, there’s a pretty good argument to be made for traveling when tourism isn’t at its peak. The months of April to October are considered Bonaire’s off-peak dates, but as we are about to reveal, they are also the best dates to travel to the island.
Flights and hotel accommodations can be anywhere between 20 to 50 percent cheaper if you choose to book on off-peak dates.
The island has limited
direct flights from U.S. destinations like Newark, Houston, Atlanta, and Miami. Since
most flights arrive and depart every Saturday, a seven-day vacation is the most affordable and convenient for travelers during these months.
Bonaire consists mostly of a lot of sunny days with clear skies and a warm breeze, you won’t see a cloud in the sky. Bonaire boasts of pleasant 80-degree weather even during the low season while the island's signature trade winds keep Bonaire breezy enough for outdoor activities. The island's temperate climate and unique location just north of the equator and safely outside the hurricane belt pose little threat of tropical storms no matter the season.
You get to fully enjoy the serenity of the island
Traveling to Bonaire during these months also means
fewer tourists. Fewer crowds mean
a far more intimate exploration of the island awaits as well as less struggle in finding good spots on the beach and better interactions with popular tourist attractions.
Traveling to Bonaire during offseason is one of its best-kept secrets. For a more relaxed, affordable and peaceful vacation on the island , we highly recommend that you visit between April and October.
