Diver's Paradise

A miracle of geography and evolution created this diver's paradise. Bonarians recognized this unique resource very early and established the Marine Park to protect and preserve it for future generations. Today, a sheltered leeward coast gives access to healthy vibrant coral reefs. Stop at any roadside yellow stone marker, gear up, walk in, and prepare to be amazed. It's that good and it's that easy! In addition to over 50 land entries to tropical reefs, the Salt Pier, Hilma Hooker shipwreck, trips to Klein Bonaire, and a phenomenal number of turtles on the East Coast provide even more adventure and exploration.

"It’s in our nature!"

Bari Reef

Located in front of Sand Dollar, the famous Bari Reef is our very own house reef.  Dedicated owners have, (in conjunction with reef.org) surveyed and found over 420 different species of marine life, designating it the most diverse reef in the Caribbean. Since the Sand Dollar property extends all the way in front of the reef, it remains pristine and uncrowded, with Sand Dollar guests enjoying exclusive access!

A few fin kicks from shore, across the sandy bottom, the reef starts at approximately 15ft/5m. The reef gently slopes down to approximately 100ft/30m, and offers an intriguing mixture of both soft corals, hard coral, and a variety of colourful sponges.  Beginners enjoy the multiple easy entries and calm conditions.  Experienced divers are always finding marine creatures that amaze and delight. The area is a haven for frogfish and sea horses.
