Sand Dollar is special!
The Sand Dollar property is a very special place. Instead of dive centers, restaurants, and shops taking up our valuable oceanfront, these facilities are offered by our neighbours and are accessed via private walkways from the property. This leaves Sand Dollar to remain a spacious, calm oasis that is becoming increasingly rare in today’s world.

Front Office - Concierge Service
Our friendly team in the Front Office are always ready to assist you with our top-notch concierge service. Whether it's booking tours, recommending local hotspots, or simply making your day brighter, we've got you covered.
Our staff also includes on site Housekeeping and Maintenance Teams. Housekeeping is supplied mid-week, and our Maintenance Team is available day and night for emergencies.
Ocean front walkway
The jewel of the property, the long, undeveloped walkway, is the gateway to Bari Reef. Accessing the water is so easy, with your choice of our private dive dock, sandy beach, and two sets of sturdy stairs further along the walkway. Sundecks offering shade, sunbeds, dining options, rinse showers and bbq pits offer the facilities to enjoy both the gardens and the oceanfront view. The areas are uncrowded, and comfortable, and provide opportunities for human and natural interaction, while also allowing for the space and privacy to retreat and relax.

Natural Gardens
The mature gardens feature plants specifically chosen to provide a habitat for many birds, butterflies, lizards, iguanas, and other creatures. The gardens are so spacious that entering the property is to leave all noise and the outside world behind. Ocean front, swaying palm trees and large almond trees create a serene backdrop to the dazzling blue of the Caribbean Sea. Front door or back door, stepping out of your apartment is to step into nature.
Dive Shop
Every community needs a good neighbour and we are proud to be next door to Dive Friends Bonaire. This company has multiple dive shops located across the island. The small shops, staffed by a great, multi-national dive crew, are casual and friendly. Boat trips, dive courses, refreshers, and an unlimited supply of scuba tanks are all available.
Dive Friends @ Sand Dollar is accessible on the oceanfront by a private walkway. The exclusive dock, stocked with air and nitrox tanks, gear up benches, and rinse tanks, are available 24/7. Take a boat dive to Klein Bonaire or fill your truck with tanks at the tank drive-up. The property also features a gear storage room, equipment rental, and a small retail center.
Neighbourhood - Restaurants and Swimming Pool
Our closest neighbours, accessible via private walkways, include the dive shop and Breezes and Bites restaurant on the oceanfront. Between Sand Dollar and the road lies Eddy’s Restaurant. This family run restaurant also manages a swimming pool and tennis courts that are available to Sand Dollar guests free of charge.
Outside the property
Once outside the Sand Dollar property, a different world exists. Restaurants and cafes, shops, ATM, a gym, and a spa are all conveniently located in the neighbouring buildings. A large supermarket is a ten-minute walk on a path beside the road. Joggers and walkers enjoy the proximity to the oceanfront boulevard that leads into town.
