Bonaire Bond

It takes all of us, with a series of small conscious actions, to bond together and preserve and protect what belongs to all of us. Join us by signing the Bonaire Bond. Designed to educate our visitors, the Bond highlights the importance of sustainable tourism. The island has pledged that for every signature received, a donation will be made to Reef Renewal Bonaire.

Bonaire Ambassadors

Once a visitor, always a friend. There’s something special about Bonaire that makes people feel at home. The feeling that this is the most amazing place on Earth. Nowhere is this more evident than amongst our guests at Sand Dollar. Many return to the same apartment year after year. They bring family and friends; they return home and share their stories and photography. We call these visitors Bonaire Ambassadors, and the island has a recognition program to thank you, our most loyal guests. Have you been visiting for ten or more years, and want to become a Bonaire Ambassador?

Dive Against Debris

If you’re  on the island, perhaps you can participate in the quarterly Dive Friends Clean Up dive. Dive Friends and guests clean our more at-risk sites, and enjoy a fun filled BBQ in the evening.

Other Opportunities

We know you share our love and respect for this spectacular island and ocean. There are so many ways to be a part of our conservation and protection efforts. Educate yourself with a visit to the Sea Turtle Conservation, or to Echo Bonaire to learn about our native parrot and their habitat.  Visit the museum located at the entrance to Washington Slagbaai National Park, as well as other museums in Kralendijk and Rincon. Take a dive course. There are many focusing on reef education, as well as improving your diving skills. Talk with our people, and learn how they have harnessed nature in sustainable ways to provide food, drink and medicine for generations.

"Together, we enrich our souls, each other, and our Earth. It's in our Nature."
