Diving
Diver's Paradise
A miracle of geography and evolution created this diver's paradise. Bonarians recognized this unique resource very early on and established the Marine Park to protect and preserve it for future generations. Today, a sheltered lee shore gives access to healthy, vibrant coral reefs. Stop at a yellow stone marker along the road, gear up, walk in and prepare to be amazed. It's that good and it's that easy! In addition to more than 50 landings to tropical reefs, Salt Pier, Hilma Hooker's shipwreck, trips to Klein Bonaire and a phenomenal number of turtles on the east coast provide even more adventure and exploration.
"It's in our nature!"

Bari Reef
The famous Bari Reef, located across from Sand Dollar, is our very own house reef. Dedicated owners (in cooperation with reef.org) have researched and found more than 420 different species of marine life, making it the most diverse reef in the Caribbean. Because Sand Dollar's property extends all the way in front of the reef, it remains pristine and quiet, with Sand Dollar guests having exclusive access!
A few fins from shore, across the sandy bottom, the reef begins at about 15 ft/5 m. The reef slopes slowly down to about 30 m and offers an intriguing combination of both soft corals, hard corals and various colorful sponges. Beginners enjoy the many easy accesses and calm conditions. Experienced divers always find marine creatures that amaze and delight. The area is a paradise for angler fish and seahorses.
